Griffin Media and News 9 are proud to present "Run To Remember," a one-hour special featuring unique Memorial Marathon stories and interviews. Stories of runners, stories of volunteers, stories of those whose lives were changed forever. Some join the race to honor those lost, some join to heal. An Oklahoma's Own Original, "Run To Remember" will air Friday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m.

From never-told-before stories from first responders to an interview with the first Memorial Marathon winner, "Run To Remember" will feature how this race brings a whole city and community together.

"This is one of our favorite projects of the year because the marathon is so meaningful to so many people," said Kylie Frakes, News 9 Executive Producer of Special Projects. "Every person you talk to has a story or a reason behind why they run, and we’re honored to share those."

Presented by News 9 & Devon Energy, “Run To Remember” will also give insights on race security and safety plus some marathon history from the day it was conceived.

News 9 will air “Run To Remember” on Friday, April 19 from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
