OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - With the college football season right around the corner, News 9 is excited to announce our latest Oklahoma’s Own Original, “1st & Football”, will air Monday, August 26 at 8 p.m. 

Presented by News 9 and Riverwind & Newcastle Casino, “1st & Football” will take a look at all the changes coming to Oklahoma football this year with the Sooners joining the SEC and the new look for Big 12 & OSU. 

"This is an unprecedented year for college football in our state," said John Holcomb, News On 6 Sports Director. "There’s excitement and anticipation, chances for fans to make road trips to new places, and new opponents for the Cowboys and Sooners. There’s also the expanded College Football Playoff that gives more teams hope of actually being included in the championship chase." 

This one-hour TV special will bring you exclusive interviews from OSU's Mike Gundy and OU's Brent Venables while also featuring players from TU, OU, and OSU. Hosting will be John Holcomb, Dean Blevins and Toby Rowland.
